1. Can I meet the team personally?

 

Yes, we feel this is beneficial for both parties and we welcome you in for meetings. A member of our team can even visit you at home if you are unable to visit our offices.

 

2. How long does it take to open an account?

 

Once we have received all necessary documents we will aim to establish your account in 3 days.

 

3. Where are my funds held?

 

All client funds are held with our 3rd party custodians Saxo Bank and IG Markets. Our custodians are the market leaders and we have selected them for their award winning trading platforms and secure settlement processes. If, in the unlikely event anything untoward was to happen to Charles Hanover Investments, your investments and cash would be safe with the custodians. Charles Hanover Investments does not hold any client funds.

 

4. Is there a minimum account size?

 

Yes, this depends on the service you would like to benefit from,. Please contact us for more details.

 

5. What are the charges?

 

It is free to open an account and we do not charge for initial consultations. Clients of (Charles) Hanover Investments are charged a commission when they deal. You may be charged for transfers of stock from you current broker. However in some circumstances we may assist you with fees to transfer in to us. We value our transparent commission structure and we offer two clear charging tiers for execution only and advisory dealing that reflects the level of input from ourselves.

 

As an advisory client you pay when a trade is placed not on when advice is given. We will provide regular updates and consultations that do not incur charges. We value long term relationships and do not charge any inactivity fees.

 

6. Who places trades on my account?

 

Charles Hanover operates a full broking service so whether you are using our advisory dealing or execution only service you are able to call your broker to execute on your behalf.  Alternatively you can place trades on your online platform.

 

7. Is there any obligation to act on recommendations?

 

No, you are in full control. If you are not satisfied with any ideas, you are under no pressure to take them.

 

8. How do I view my portfolio?

 

You will have access to your portfolio online at all times or we can send you paper copies for your records.
